The Challenge

The family hoped to create an elegant backyard garden and seating area, but they weren’t sure how to start.

The existing hardscaping and gardens didn’t feel inviting, and they lacked clean lines and cohesion. This meant the backyard mostly sat unused.

BEFORE & AFTER: The backyard garden and seating area has been completely overhauled. Now, a crushed stone patio and elegant seating invites time spent among native plants.

The Transformation

The native plant landscaping softens the edges of the driveway and creates pollinator habitat. The low-maintenance plant palette ensures that most of the family’s outdoor time can be devoted to relaxation.

The Takeaway

Any part of a yard or landscape can be transformed into something beautiful. A small, unused space beside the driveway has become an elegant, inviting outdoor living space that facilitates connections with nature.
