Organic Landscape Maintenance Services
Our knowledgeable staff of horticulturalists work with the ecology of your yard to support plant health and keep your landscape looking its best. We take a forward-thinking approach to yard maintenance that considers how plants will change over time—so your landscape is always evolving in a positive direction.
All of our yard maintenance services are based on the Northeast Organic Farming Association’s (NOFA) Standards for Organic Land Care. These practices emphasize soil health, water quality and retention, pollinator habitat, and plant health. Organic approaches are also safer for people and pets compared to conventional garden maintenance practices.
We pay close attention to your plants’ needs and deadhead, prune, and offer extra TLC at appropriate times. We also consider how your plants integrate with other elements in your yard, such as rain barrels, compost piles, and human use patterns. This helps sustain a thriving yard that’s rich in color, texture, functionality, and pollinator activity.
Yard Maintenance Packages
We offer a variety of yard maintenance plans to suit different needs. Learn more about each package below.

The Monthly Maintenance Plan
We assess your landscape’s needs each month and respond to the specific dynamics of your site. We weed, deadhead, and complete dormant pruning when appropriate. We clean up everything in the spring and put it all to bed in the fall. Because we are consistently on-site, we can swiftly resolve any issues that crop up during a season and maximize plant health all year round.
The Quarterly Maintenance Plan
We check in during each season to tend to your landscape’s most pressing needs. In spring, we conduct a full landscape cleanup and prep your yard for the growing season, including mulching, edging, plant care, and rain barrel maintenance. In summer, we take care of weeding, deadheading, dormant pruning, and assessing plants to see how they’re performing in the heat. Come fall, we revitalize the landscape by weeding, pruning, applying summer compost to your beds, and tending to any planting or transplanting projects. In winter, we clear leaves into the compost and conduct dormant pruning.
The Heavy Lifting Plan (Spring/Fall Cleanups)
We tackle major landscape tasks when they’re most pressing. We’ll handle a full yard cleanup in the spring, which includes mulching, edging, using up winter compost, plant care, reattaching rain barrels, and so on. After the summer’s heat passes, we check in again to revitalize the land with a thorough fall visit. We pull weeds, prune anything in need of some TLC, use up summer compost in garden beds, and take care of planting or transplanting. You keep an eye on things between visits; we get your yard ready to go for the growing season and then put it to bed for winter.
